Bingo and Grandma

I can remember playing bingo with my grandma at church when I was a young boy. It was a fantastic time. It was so enticing watching all of the people with their colour sticks waiting eagerly for the next number to be called. I distinctly remember seeing the look of joy on the winner’s faces, and the look of defeat on the faces of those who were only one number away from winning. Sometimes the jackpots grew to almost a thousand dollars. I wished so badly to have won one of them. I fantasized about what I would do with the money; maybe buy a new bike, or some baseball cards. Instead, grandma gave me some change to go to the concession stand ad get some popcorn or cotton candy. While I never won a jackpot, I still look back at those Wednesday evenings with such joy. I loved spending time with my grandma playing bingo.

For many years, millions of people had become fans of this entertaining and sometimes emotional game called Bingo. Throughout many casinos and bingo hall, hundreds if not thousands of Bingo hopefuls are waiting and punching numbers on the cards hoping for their next big win. During my first experience playing Bingo, I remember as a newbie all of the items that are needed to play bingo. I also remember that there are various types of ways to play Bingo. Even though there was the traditional card and bingo stamp, there is also electronic bingo when the numbers are pressed for you. However, when asked about this to the regulars, they mentioned that the fun playing bingo is lost if you are playing with the machines. I also remember the various bingo games they were playing, for example there was the letter E bingo or the Z bingo. During my entire night I learned many things about the game of bingo that I never learned before, however I realized that this game of bingo will continue for more years to come.
